Certainly. UNISHRED's managed shredding program provides service to any location in the country. We provide a single invoice and a single point of contact for all of your document destruction.

Is it less expensive to just run down to our local office supply store, buy a shredder, and do it ourselves?

Never. For starters, the $29 or even $229 shredders have limited capacity, they break, and they must be replaced frequently. More significant are the labor costs, office space, and disposal costs. What is the difference between strip shredding, cross shredding, and pierce and tear shredding?

Strip shredding simply shreds paper into strips. This is the least secure method because strips are the easiest to reconstruct.

Cross shredding cuts paper into two directions giving a smaller piece of paper. This method is more secure than strip shredding.

Pierce and tear shredding is the most secure type of shredding and is the type used by UNISHRED. Pierce and tear shredding actually separates the paper fibers while shredding and turns documents into tiny unreadable pieces.

What is a purge service?

A purge service refers to a company's cleanout of a larger amount of files and documents. Clients simply call UNISHRED and we come out and shred all the material that you have available. We recommend that companies and households perform an annual purging of all old files and documents.

Does your company recycle?

UNISHRED is one of the most environmentally friendly companies in the US. We recycle 100% of the paper we shred.

Are your employees security cleared?

Yes. All UNISHRED employees undergo extensive background checks as well as FBI fingerprinting. In addition, we are a drug free workplace and all of our employees are bonded and insured.

Do you provide a certificate of destruction?

Yes, we provide a certificate of destruction for every service we perform.

What is an image of destruction?

An image of destruction is a unique proof of document destruction available only from UNISHRED, which is part of our ShredBox service. We provide an actual image of each box entering the shredder. The image is sent via an email and is also available on the Web for clients to view.

We typically ask for 48 hours lead time but we can react sooner if necessary.
